About

After moving to San Francisco with no network, I showed up to every open tech event I could find to meet people. I quickly learned that most events were not fun, didn't have the people I was looking for, and resulted in many "let's keep in touch"-es that never went anywhere.

That's why every Saturday I curate 8 ambitious people to meet & play social-first poker. I believe it's an incredible way to actually get to know people. Players have been offered their first check, received job offers, and met lifelong friends and co-founders while at the table.

But most importantly, it's fun. It's somewhere you want to spend your Saturday night regardless of any outcomes.

If you're ambitious, smart, and cool - I'd love to host you sometime. Join here.

FAQ

How are games curated?
I bring together people that should meet each other. Sometimes I host games by job function or industry, but most of the time I keep them as diverse as possible to create the most interesting conversations. I personally curate, reach out, and vet our entire player pool.
What type of person should join?
Our only requirements are that you're ambitious, smart, and fun. We host founders, investors, engineers, growth folks, finance folks, marketers, designers, and everything in between. All ages are welcome (18+).
What type of poker do you play?
We play No Limit Texas Hold'em. 25c/50c blinds, $50-$100 buy-in. Rebuys and top-ups allowed.
How much poker experience do I need?
Our minimum buy-in is only $50 because the primary goal is not actually to play poker - it's to meet people. We welcome players of all skill levels to join, from people who need to look up hand rankings to players that can shuffle chips in their sleep.
Where are they hosted?
Most games are hosted at my apartment in Nob Hill, San Francisco. We're working on expanding venues & partnering up with some companies soon to host larger events soon...
